Terms of Service

Last updated October 10, 2026

The rules for using Circle, in plain language.

Using Circle

By creating an account or using Circle you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 13 years old. You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password to yourself.

What is not allowed

Circle is for people to organise their lives together. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You may not use Circle to:

  • harass, threaten, bully or stalk anyone, or share anyone's private information without their consent;
  • post hate speech, or content that demeans people for who they are;
  • post sexual content involving minors, sexually explicit content, graphic violence, or anything illegal;
  • send spam or scams, or pretend to be someone else;
  • ask for or share a person's location against their wishes;
  • try to break, overload or get around the security of Circle, or to access other people's accounts or data.

Your content

What you post is yours. By posting it in a circle you let Circle store it and show it to the other members of that circle so the app can work. You are responsible for what you post and promise you have the right to post it.

Reporting, blocking and enforcement

You can report any message or person from inside the app (press and hold a message, or open a circle's member list), and you can block anyone at any time. We review reports within 24 hours. We may remove content, and suspend or end accounts, that break these terms, without notice. A filter also stops the worst language before it is posted.

Plans, meeting people and your safety

Circle helps people arrange to meet. It does not check anyone's identity or the places people choose, and it is not responsible for what happens when people meet. Use your own judgement, meet in public places when you are unsure, and share your location only with people you trust.

Money in Circle

Circle keeps a record of who paid and who owes whom so a group can settle up. It does not move money. Settling up happens outside Circle, and the record is only as accurate as what people enter.

The service

We work hard to keep Circle running, but it is provided as it is, and we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law.

Ending your account

You can stop using Circle at any time and delete your account inside the app (You tab, then Delete account). We can suspend or end an account that breaks these terms.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app. Using Circle after a change means you accept it.
